What are these spiders?
There over 30,000 classified species of spiders. The most common spiders in Missouri are:
- House spiders

- Black widow spiders
Are they dangerous?
The venom of a black widow spider is a neurotoxin and is used as a defense mechanism. Black widow spiders do not bite humans instinctively, they bite us to protect themselves. The black widow spider bite can cause severe pain and allergic reactions. Young children and the elderly are extremely susceptible to a severe reaction to a black widow spider bite.
Most other spiders in our area do not pose a significant risk, however, a spider bite can be unpleasant and irritate the skin.
So why do I have them?

A chemical barrier around the foundation, garage, eaves, soffits, etc is applied on the exterior of the home or business. Any accessible webs will be removed at the time of treatment. On the inside, Around the Clock Pest Control will apply an all natural dust and micro capsulated chemical in areas where the spiders are or may travel. We may also install glue board around the interior to capture and monitor the area.
Is the treatment safe?
Around the Clock Pest Control uses the least amount of material as possible while still resolving the problem. AS we use chemicals and dust but, we follow very stringent guidelines for the use of the product so that it poses no threat to people or pets. All products are registered by the EPA. Around the Clock Pest Control will inform you of any specific safety measures that need to be taken.

This service comes with a 30 day warranty from the initial service date. If you join our quarterly pest program your warranty is changed to a 90 day warranty.
